Come directly from cold Finland, Sunrise Avenue, one of the most beloved musical groups throughout Europe for their music and their grit. Their story, which led them to success, is something incredible.
After being rejected dozens of times by the record, without becoming too discouraged, they decide to self-produced the first album. But where to find the money? “One night,” says singer Samu group, “I was talking about the problem of finding the funding to record the album and just a friend of mine has offered to sell her house and borrow the money”! Success was immediate and then the rest became history. Affect the album, better known as “On the Way to Wonderland” and leave for a long tour that sees them sing in many concerts and festivals. Born fan-club throughout Europe, playing as support band for Bon Jovi and collect gold and platinum. Change the guitarist, giving way to Rajamaa Riku, and then replaced by keyboardist Osmo Ikonen, but not the desire to play and have fun.
And now, after a year which is played in every radio in Scandinavia and throughout Europe, arrived April 9 in Italy their second album “Popgasm. “The album has songs by pop-rock melodies. The texts I have made all letting myself be guided by my feelings. I often realize that they are too personal, but are written with the heart and I could not do otherwise, “says Samu. Now the band, also composed by drummer and bassist Sami Raoul, is on tour in Europe with a series of acoustic concerts. “I was very nervous the first night that we played, did not seem real to sing and play from a chair and I was afraid that the public might not appreciate this kind of concert. But the enthusiasm which then showed us was a real satisfaction. ”
After acoustic tour, the band will be busy in coming months to play live in many new theaters, and to follow them just check their site up to date, in addition to their pages on Face Book. Kind and polite as all the Northerners, but also very nice and cute: these are the Sunrise Avenue, now that we are sure will conquer Italy!
